Grace Kwok May-han is an esteemed environmental engineer, green building pioneer, and corporate executive who serves as the Chairman and Executive Director of Allied Sustainability and Environmental Consultants Group Limited (AEC Group). With over 25 years of extensive experience in environmental impact assessments, acoustics, and built environment studies, she has established herself as a foremost authority on regenerative sustainability across the Asia-Pacific region. Her career is defined by her ability to bridge the gap between architectural design, real estate development, environmental regulation, and green finance.
Kwok completed her foundational training in environmental engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, equipping her with the technical insights required to navigate the early days of eco-conscious construction. Entering the consulting sector, she built a specialized expertise in acoustics and sustainable design. Her early work proved crucial to the local adaptation of international green building metrics, as she directly contributed to the initial rollouts of pioneering building frameworks in Hong Kong, including HK-BEAM, LEED, BREEAM, and the China Green Building Label (CGBL).
Under her visionary leadership, AEC Group achieved a significant milestone in 2016 by becoming the first environmental and sustainability consultancy firm to be officially listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 8320.HK). Kwok has systematically expanded the firm’s operational footprint from its Hong Kong base into thriving markets across Mainland China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, including offices and projects in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Dubai. As Chief Sustainability Strategist of AEC Capital Limited, she also advises asset owners and developers on macro corporate ESG structures, climate risk mitigation, and net-zero carbon pathways.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Kwok holds influential governance seats across global and regional environmental policy organizations. She is a Board Director for both the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC), where she serves as Vice-Chairman of the Sustainable Development Committee. Appointed by the Hong Kong SAR Government, she actively shapes civic environmental agendas as the Chairman of the Environmental Campaign Committee and serves as an active member on the Advisory Council on the Environment and the Energy Advisory Committee.
Kwok's transformative contributions to green building and sustainable development have garnered elite widespread recognition. She stands as Hong Kong's very first LEED Fellow and serves on prominent international committees including GRESB, IWBI, and the CRREM APAC Advisory Committee.
